We learned of the sudden death of our friend and colleague Dr Stuart Mitchell at his home in England. Stuart worked closely with many of us in ESAM and his intellect and persona were shadowed by none and were well known to us all. His ability to be pragmatic and to see the “big picture” was renowned. He was a pioneer in so many domains.
His passing is a massive and tragic loss to Aviation Medicine, both academically and the global family of specialists. We offer our thoughts and sincere condolences to his wife and family.
